The next Galway Orienteers “The Western Eagles” orienteering event will be Please note the first WEGO orienteering event for 2026 will be held on Sunday 1st February in Ballyloughane on a new map produced by Pat Healy. The scale is 1:3500 and the contour interval is 2m

There will be 2 courses on offer

Short 2.00k and Long 4.3K

The area is a mix of Roads, Paths and tracks close to the beach

Entries will open on Monday 26th January at 11am and close on Friday 30th January at 8pm
